A lot of people think that casting of Danny Glover as the tough policeman in Predator 2 was a stupid ass decision. I like it though. This makes this movie feel like I'm watching a strange sequel / version of Lethal Weapon just this time, instead of Mel Gibson playing the new partner, we get Bill Paxton, who foreshadows the connection of this films to the Alien franchise. ↩ Reply
At one point the composer Alan Silvestri includes a piece from Alien, when Danny Glover comes into a room full of skinned hanging up-side-down mobsters. And in the end of the film, absolutely clearly, without a single shadow of a doubt the film actually shows a scull of a Xenomorph. So let's not blame Paul W. S. Anderson for the combination of those two franchises. Let's blame Stephen Hopkins instead. Or more like let's blame Jim Thomas & John Thomas, because they were the writers. ↩ Reply
This film also contains a "short orgasmic blackout" thing I talked about in my review of Balerina. In short it happens to me when I see a tough AF very cute woman. Something in my mind snaps when it happens and I feel really fucking good. This movie did that to me in the form of Maria Conchita Alonso's character Leona. I kept screaming to the screen the whole movie, how much of a crush I have on her. ↩ Reply
In short the film is a B movie through and through. And that is why the rating is so low. The marketing suggested this is an A movie. And the critics didn't fucking get the joke. Hell the film even has Robert Davi in it. How isn't it a B movie? ↩ Reply
