Karting
Dani's Race provides racing of many types. Before 08-08-24 there was the racetrack which is like: the legal racing. And there was the street racing. But since the main character is a child, it just makes a lot of sense to also have kart racing too. This is what this version provides. A whole new karting club, with a racetrack and a lot of interesting details.
NPC drivers
For the longest time in Dani's Race the cars that were driving around in the city were just this - cars. Nobody was inside of them. They were, I guess, possessed, to drive themselves around. But times change and this flaw was way to big to overlook this time. So cars now have drivers in them. And they are not passive drivers. They get upset if you steal their car. So be aware of that.
More Detailed House
How can I make a whole new area ( Karting Club ) without detailing the house more too, to meet the same level of quality? Well I can't! So there you go. House now has more details. From simply adding a toilet room. To having the room of the main character resemble the one in
the movie.
To making an office for Paps that both works as just an office and establishes some parts of his character, for the story to explore later.
Other things
Settings now include Ambient Occlusion and various sliders for various things. Like how much FPS to target, how aggressively to optimize the game. And how aggressively to turn when using keyboard.
And a lot of the development from the last week was to fix minor discomforts like jumping and car balance and stuff like that. We have a git repository now, with an
issue tracker where you can see what we work on right now.

Vicious 2025 is a cool little therapy movie

A lot of horror films are therapeutic in nature. They let you see and examine some dark things about yourself or the world. And that is a good thing. For example, some people were "cured" from suicidal thoughts by watching the
Saw franchise. A running theme in those films, is that
Saw would choose some rather depressed, suicidal individuals for the "games". Where they need to do some utterly bad shit crazy things to themselves, to survive. That puts the whole suicide thing into perspective. Making you really understand how pointless it is, as a solution. The 2025 film
Vicious written and directed by
Bryan Bertino and starring
Dakota Fanning is also a therapy horror film.

Weapons 2025 should be nominated for best picture

It is not often that a horror films appears to tickle the right nerves from the high-brow crowd of cinema critics. With 93% Rotten Tomatoes score though, it is safe to assume that
Zach Cregger's
Weapons from 2025 is one of those rare movies.
