Acting-wise the movie kills it. Timothée Chalamet is very good as always. It's hard to think of him as an adult, because he looks 14. But he is older than me. And in this movie he has enough dirt on him to make him look more like an anorexic drug addict than a 14 year old. But he is supposedly way younger than himself in the movie. I would guess around 20. So his casting is nearly perfect. Along side him Guadagnino found another actress that is older than me and even older than Chalamet, and she plays an 18 year old. Her name is Taylor Russell and somehow both she and Chalamet just refuse to age, I guess. The movie also includes a rather unexpected role from Mark Rylance who plays nice and kind old men in Spielberg films. But here he plays a truly terrifying cannibal rapist.

She took out her hand grabbing a 35 mm print of "Call Me By Your Name" directed by Luca Guadagnino. There was no poster, no trailer. Just a name and a director's name written with a marker on the casing of the film.

More than that, I have to remind you that nobody around here makes movies. If we market it for the people in here as a film made in here, it could get somewhere.
Mr. Humbert: Ham. There is always a way to market something. A lot of actors have a market value. Deep fakes of those actors do not have that same value. You know. The actor should be really there for it to have value in the eyes of the consumer.
Asian cinema is different from American cinema. When in America filmmakers are often armed with enormous budgets, Asian cinema is trying to survive with what it has while still delivering the same, if not more, entertainment value. It's not that hard when dealing with dramas. There most of the time the story is about a few people in few locations, talking and crying with one another. Which is not expensive. But it's an entirely different challenge when you are trying to compete within the action-film market.
The funny thing is that the excuse itself, as I foreshadowed kind of misses the mark. The oppression to stop oppression is at the very least counter-productive. Why are they trying to ban encrypted messaging? Oh, that is because pedophiles can use them to send private pictures of children to one another without being detected. Richard Stallman with copyleft and how utterly insane it is if you think about it, is another example, just with a different set of rules ( this time not religious, but legal ). Which just so happened to produce good results. But don't forget about it: Mark Zuckerberg is Jewish too. And with that by the rise of movements of tinkerers and people who like to do it all themselves. Comes a new market for those who can provide software and hardware for those who want to do it themselves. For those who want to repair things. For those who want to tinker. The, so called, 3D printers are very popular. And with them a great necessity arrives with having ability to tell those 3D printers what exactly is expected from them to do. Blender being one such tool, has an edge upon it's competitors by various means. One such mean is that to obtain a working copy of this wonderful piece of software, no payment is required. Another one of those means is that Blender itself is a tinkerer's dream. It is repairable software, by being what they in the industry call "Libre". Pardon my French, in the language of the Great Britain Libre means Freedom. Finally somebody is resisting the e-dictators properly.
Blender has about 1844 UI accessible settings. It also has about 1555 easily find-able and install-able plugins. It's rather unimportant to calculate strange plugins that are not in some easily find-able database. If the developer of the plugin didn't publish it properly, that the user might not ever find it, for the sake of this calculation, this plugin does not even exist. Adding those plugins found preinstalled with Blender with plugins found on Blender Market, I arrived at the number of 1555.
It does not guarantee anything pretty much. Criminals for example are banned to have guns to begin with. But they still get them regardless. So there is a possibility of it getting worse.
If you want to control the stuff of the other person it could be arranged. The other person can agree to no longer own his stuff. But why would he do that? Maybe he wants to control some of your stuff too. Then, perhaps you can arrange an exchange of stuff. Or if the person really doesn't want to own something, or really likes you, he can just gift you his stuff, without demanding anything in return. All of those dynamics we know as a free market.
Sheiny: You can get almost anything from somewhere else for cheaper and if you look at the second hand market, for a lot cheaper. Why with software it should be different?
So as you probably can tell there are no cameras on the market today running Free Software unless they are webcams or something silly like a "linux-powered" surveillance "cloud" cameras. So then what is the closest possible alternative?
