Allow me to indulge in this review with you. ↩ Reply
Allow me to present you with a picture. ↩ Reply
Pardon me for using so much rhyme, to chime, ↩ Reply
and sing about it in this scripture. ↩ Reply

To me, a joy is found with a good tear-squeezer ↩ Reply
And Moulin Rouge! for certain qualifies ↩ Reply
And even though the characters in the movie aren't talking in rhyme all the damn time. Because it would be obnoxious and unbearable... ↩ Reply

... ↩ Reply
The songs in it I find to be quite nice. ↩ Reply

The movie is directed by Baz Luhrmann ↩ Reply
A person, prior, who's films I never seen ↩ Reply
But now, I feel, his works quite lure me ↩ Reply
My taste-buds are prepared for his film-cuisine ↩ Reply

As subject within subject of the movie ↩ Reply
Indian extravagance is seen on screen. ↩ Reply
The editing is so chaotic and so groovy ↩ Reply
Bollywood is where these kinds of things I've seen. ↩ Reply

I never knew Ewan McGregor is a singer. ↩ Reply
I never thought that Nicole Kidman's too. ↩ Reply
There are some flaws, but I'll not point any fingers, ↩ Reply
I quite enjoyed the acting of the two. ↩ Reply

Being a product of the beginning of the century ↩ Reply
The graphics seen on screen could wish more work. ↩ Reply
But Baz Luhrmann's direction of this symphony ↩ Reply
Turns this visual cheapness into a mere quirk. ↩ Reply

The movie is completely silly. ↩ Reply
The logic-phile movie-goers will be shocked. ↩ Reply
Even the songs seem chosen willy-nilly. ↩ Reply
Thought I'd agree the film as is had worked. ↩ Reply

The "Like a Virgin" by Madonna has been covered. ↩ Reply
And not by women, but by Jim Broadbent. ↩ Reply
I laughed my butt off and barely recovered. ↩ Reply
If not direction in which the movie later went. ↩ Reply

Please be so kind as to excuse this "poem". ↩ Reply
I needed tools, for the film to start unpacking. ↩ Reply
And as your writer, which I hope, you know him, ↩ Reply
I want to wish you finally... ↩ Reply

Happy Hacking!!! ↩ Reply

There is a sub-genre of Horror films categorized by surrealism. It could range between totally insane films like anything directed by David Lynch all the way to something like Mandy by Panos Cosmatos, where it is kind of surreal, but also doesn't actually ask from the audience too much in terms of figuring out what is going on. "Beau Is Afraid" is more toward the David Lynch category of surreal horror.
