YouTube Streaming
SeaGL being not organized by FSF is using YouTube for the online events. I talked to them about it. They don't have any time to change how they will present this year's event. But they are open to stream via PeerTube next year. Madiator2011 seems to be okay with them using his instance for it. And apparently he has enough bandwidth for it. Perhaps the recordings of this year's streams will be published onto Madiator's instance later. ↩ Reply
For the meantime I found a solution for those who want to watch the presentation live. MPV apparently can play YouTube streams as they happen. So by simply typing into the terminal
mpv, space bar, and the link to the stream, you should be able to see the stream without running any proprietary software.
