TrolerThe 1933 film itself is not too special. For its time, there's a lot to laud. Comparing what Peter Jackson would do later, there's night and day. I do not mean the special effects, which are exceptional.

TrolerAm I bad guy for being so positive about a movie of a person I do not care much about? Well, there is nothing to fret, as the 3D film directed by Billie Eilish is palatable for everyone looking for entertainment. Certainly no masterpiece, the film still hold water in its flow. 3D doesn't work if there is no parallax. And parallax just out there doesn't work if there is no reason for it to exist. The documentary provides ten times that.

TrolerPairing a mystery, where each clue matters with a director behind Revolver, where the symbolic meaning of the film is hidden unless the viewer has pen and paper, and knowledge of gematria, and Hebrew. As such, a detective movie, of Sherlock Holmes nonetheless, is quite an invigorating blend.

TrolerTaika Waititi comes into an already saturated world of World War 2 exploitation pieces. It is of Nazis in the conventional historical sense. With that not being enough, it has child Nazis. And the protagonist Johannes "Jojo" Betzler (Roman Griffin Davis) who loves Hitler so much, the Fiurher is his imaginary friend, played by the director himself.

TrolerPutting characters from the film in a world they do not belong to leads to jarring results. I'm not even human is a stupidly blatant propaganda piece. As such, there is this expectation for the film to not take itself seriously, since if one does, the film is less enjoyable. TrolerOrphan by László Nemes is a bleak introspection into the psychology of a lonely adolescent Andor (Bojtorján Barábas), desperately searching for his father. Just like I am by Romas Lileikis, the focus is put more so on the atmosphere and the world rather than much the plot.

Troler. Ari Aster's psychoanalytical film Beau Is Afraid. The little 50 year old something boy named Beau is so utterly paranoid and lacking self worth, the entire world morphs into an extended torture scene. Since everything is told from the first point of view (POV), there is a lingering uncertainty of what is depicted real.

TrolerWhen I came to watch Alfonso Cuarón's dystopian film Children of Men, the UK depicted seemed quite up par to what I've heard. That UK had outlawed immigration. Looking at the present day land, if not for influx of migrants, the Kingdom would become a Kill-dome with how fast the population is aging. No need for a world-wide infertility disease.
Kill Bill is quite a chill

TrolerKill Bill is a reference loaded film. The director lives in cinema, after all. At one point, the Bill of Kill Bill (David Carradine) reviews Superman, during a monologue with the presence of the protagonist Beatrix Kiddo (Uma Thurman). The said review made sense inside of the given scene, it made sense within the given plot. What if anything it was a flex. Q. Tarantino spoke through Bill about Superman and millions of people heard him. It could be argued, his most popular review... was part of a martial arts movie.
