This is a script for my version of what should happen in the story mode of Super Tux Kart.

This version is written to contain only male dialogue. It is done because I don't think that it will be simple to get somebody that can record all those lines with a female voice convincingly. If there are women willing to voice some characters. Let me know and I will write female characters too. Instead I figured out an ending that could substitute the absence of voice.

Chapter Zero. The rebel.

INT. IGLOO. NIGHT.

The scene is lit with candle light. Two penguins are holding a baby penguin. They have old CRT monitors in the Igloo, signifying the era.

FATHER PENGUIN

We should call this little baby - Tux.

Title Card: 20 Penguin Years Later

OUT. SNOW PEAK. DAY.

Tux is adult now. He walks on the street. Father Penguin comes to Tux.

FATHER PENGUIN

Kid, you are making your mom very nervous.

TUX

I'm not gonna be hurt, dad. I'm more than fine.

FATHER PENGUIN

You are obsessed. You are going to crash!

TUX

You know more than me how important speed is.

FATHER PENGUIN

But you're a penguin, not a program. Besides... I wanted to teach you how to code, but you only care about your stupid sport.

TUX

Dad, I like the speed!

Tux goes away from dad to a Red Kart waiting for him on the side of the road. Father Penguin looks at him all sad and defeated. Mother Penguin comes besides the Father Penguin, she is also sad. Tux sits into the Kart.

RACE ON SNOW PEAK IN TIME TRIAL MODE. ( Tux is practicing alone ).

INT. IGLOO. EVENING.

Tux comes home. Father and Mother are looking at him angrily.

FATHER PENGUIN

I talked to your mother. And we cannot have this. You are risking your own life for something pointless. So we decided...

Tux is looking at them with worry.

FATHER PENGUIN

Am...

TUX

Dad, everything is going to be okay with me.

FATHER PENGUIN

We decided to take your kart away from you.

Tux is breathing more heavily. He is getting ready for something.

BATTLE MODE. FATHER AND MOTHER PENGUINS AGAINST TUX.

OUT. SNOW PEAK. EVENING.

Mother and Father Tux are defeated. Tux is angry at them.

TUX

I have a dream, dad. And you are fighting with me over it. Why?

FATHER PENGUIN

You are obsessed!

Tux didn't respond. He just took his Kart and drove away.

NARRATOR

And thus Tux left his parents in pursuit of friends that will understand his passion for speed. He was gone to the warm lands. Far away from Snow Peak. He was gone to the Land of the Gnu.

Chapter 1. Befriending Gnu.

STORY MODE MAP SELECTION. IT'S A TOWN. THE ONLY AVAILABLE GAME IS A SOCCER GAME.

INT. SOCCER FIELD. DAY.

Tux approaches strangers. Those are different characters from the game. One of them is Gnu.

TUX

Hey! Sorry... I'm new here. Do you know by any chance where I can find a racetrack to practice?

GNU

You are a racer?

TUX

Ah... Yes.

GNU

A good one?

TUX

I guess...

GNU

Hm...

Gnu looks at the other players.

GNU

What do you think?

The other players mumble to themselves.

GNU

Okay. What's your name?

TUX

I'm Tux.

GNU

I'm Gnu. See, ah.. we have one person missing for the soccer game. We play it with karts. Do you want to join in?

GAME OF SOCCER. GNU AND TUX ARE ON THE SAME TEAM.

OUT. STREET. BESIDE SOCCER FIELD. DAY.

Tux and Gnu come out of the soccer field together.

GNU

You wanted a racetrack? We have more than one.

TUX

Really?

GNU

Yep. There is good one.

Gnu points on the next opened challenge.

TUX

I already like this place a lot better than home.

GNU

Enjoy yourself.

A NUMBER OF RACES ARE OPEN. AND YOU CAN COMPLETE THEM. NO STORY HAPPENS FOR SOME TIME.

Chapter 2. The Nasty Land.

OUT. TOWN. DAY.

Gnu gives a speech. Other characters are with him.

GNU

Being fast is not the most important thing in life. We are not here to win against all odds. We are here to play honestly. No cheating. But I've heard that there is a land somewhere on the other side of the earth that is not playing nice. There is a monstrous ruler there who also likes racing. But he is not honest. I'm going to go to that land and try to convince the folk there to join us. Or at least to stop racing dishonestly. Perhaps in this way I could manage to convince the ruler of those lands, the malicious Nolok, to stop being so malicious. Who is coming with me?

TUX

I do!

GNU

Tux, my friend. Are you ready for the challenge? I believe it is not going to be easy.

TUX

I think I am.

GNU

Well then let's go.

And they drive off into the distance together.

NEW SELECTION WORLD. THIS ONE LOOKS EVIL. ALL TRACKS IN THE SELECTION ARE EVIL LOOKING. AND ALL RACES ARE IN FOLLOW THE LEADER MODE. EVERY TIME THE LEADER IS NOLOK. FOR A FEW GAMES NO STORY HAPPENS.

OUT. EVIL WORLD. DAY

Tux walking towards a place where Gnu is giving a speech.

TUX ( to himself )

This is stupid! Winning a race is not allowed? Stupid!

He sees Gnu. There are other characters listening to his speech.

GNU

This Nolok poisoned you all to think that there is something fair in never winning. That only he has some kind of exclusive right to win all races. He has no such right. I urge you to join me instead and go with me to the Land of the Gnu. Where everything is fair. Yes, it might be less convenient to travel across the world now. But it is worth it. Leave this malicious Nolok alone. And come to the world where people play fair.

All this time Nolok was listening to the speech while sneaking around a corner.

BACK TO THE PREVIOUS WORLD. THERE IS A RACE AVAILABLE. THE ONLY OPPONENT IS NOLOK. THIS TIME HE LOOSES SINCE THE RACE IS FAIR.

OUT. CITY. DAY.

Nolok is very angry. He comes to Tux.

NOLOK

Do you know who I am?

TUX

Ah... A Racer?

NOLOK

I am Nolok! The ruler or the Evil Land! How dare you win me in a race?

TUX

In this place the race honestly. You are just not good enough, Nolok.

Tux goes away. Nolok is even angrier.

OUT. RACETRACK. DAY

Nolok is alone. He is angry. He shoots a cupcake randomly and it explodes.

OUT. RACETRACK. EVENING

Nolok is still there. He is less angry. He is just sad.

OUT. RACETRACK. NIGHT

Nolok is looking at the track. He is serious. He starts racing alone.

IN. NOLOK'S HOTEL ROOM. NIGHT.

Nolok is talking to a few ( evil looking ) characters.

NOLOK

I know that it's going to sound weird. But I want you to come with me and race me honestly.

ONE OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS

What Boss? I don't understand.

NOLOK

This Tux can't just go away like this after winning me. I have to show him that it's not only my might as a ruler that let's me win. I have to show him that I can win him for real! And you are going to help me. You are going to race with me honestly until I can beat Tux in a fair race. That's an order!

Chapter 3: Awkward Reunion

OUT. AIRPORT. DAY.

Mother and Father Penguins arrive. Nolok and his minions race on the road next to the exit from the Airport. Father and Mother Penguins are not happy with it.

IN. TUX'S HOME. DAY.

FATHER PENGUIN

Son, we didn't want to hurt your feelings.

Tux is not looking at him.

TUX

So why did you do that then?

FATHER PENGUIN

We were scared that you may get hurt.

TUX

I got hurt.

Father Penguin is scared.

FATHER PENGUIN

What where?

TUX

Here!

Tux is pointing at his heart. Father Penguin is sad now.

FATHER PENGUIN

I'm sorry son.

Gnu comes in with Mother Penguin.

GNU

Your parents are a bit weird, but I like them. Would you might if we take them to a tour around the place?

TUX

Sure...

OUT. CITY. DAY.

Tux, Mother and Father Penguins and Gnu walk around the city.

GNU

There we have a soccer field. We play soccer on Karts too in this place.

FATHER PENGUIN

Oh man. This is very irresponsible.

GNU

As long as we play fair, I don't see no problem in it.

Nolok approaches them.

NOLOK

Hey Tux!

TUX

Hello...

NOLOK

I wanted to ask you. Would you race me? Like now?

TUX

I'm sorry I can't race you now. Bye bye.

Tux, Gnu, Father and Mother walked away from Nolok. Nolok got angry. His minions came from the other side from him.

NOLOK

He doesn't want to race me? Well... You know what to do.

Karts with Nolok's minions come to where Tux, Gnu and the parents are. They shoot cupcakes. Explosions make Tux, Gnu and parents fall down and have stars rotate around their heads. The Nolok's minions grab Gnu and the parents and drive away with them. Leaving Tux alone.

Nolok comes to Tux.

NOLOK

Let me say is straight. I will release you friends if you will race me. If you will win me. Me and my minions. But no... I don't want one race. I want a whole grand-prix of them. I will send you a message when and where it all starts.

Chapter 4. Rescue.

A NEW CHALLENGE APPEARS. IT IS A GRAND PRIX OF ALL TRACKS. ALL OTHER CARS ARE NOLOK'S MINIONS AND NOLOK HIMSELF.

OUT. CITY. DAY

Nolok is defeated. Tux comes to him to ask for his friends.

TUX

You've lost.

NOLOK

So?

TUX

Release my friends!

NOLOK

You think it's going to be that simple?

THE TOWN BECOMES AN ARENA FOR BATTLE. AND A HUGE BATTLE STARTS WITH GOOD KART CHARACTERS VERSUS NOLOK AND HIS MINIONS.

Nolok is sitting with starts over his head. Gnu comes out with the parents penguins. He comes to Nolok.

GNU

Send this criminal back to his land to suffer.

Father Penguin comes to him.

FATHER PENGUIN

Let me do something first.

He grabs Nolok's Kart and throws it into a pond nearby.

FATHER PENGUIN

Now he is ready for his departure. Honey?

Mother penguin comes to Nolok. Nolok looks at her all confused about what she could do to him. She kicks him so hard he ends up back in his evil land.

FATHER PENGUIN

Son. I didn't think I would ever said it regarding your obsession with speed. But I'm proud of you. And I see just the right way to celebrate it.

TUX

And what's that?

Father Penguin is looking at... Everybody turns around to see... It is a store where one can buy a kart.

FINAL RACE. IT'S GNU, FATHER AND MOTHER PENGUIN AND TUX. WHETHER YOU WIN THIS RACE IS UNIMPORTANT.

THE END.

Sheiny was walking back and forth anxiously. Mr. Humbert wasn't sure what's wrong with her. For the last few months she was excited about her new movie that is about to be released. Suddenly she isn't excited anymore. She is extremely nervous. In her mind every single flaw, every single mistake, every single little hazard. All of the stuff that she didn't make the way that would be the best for the film. All of this was tormenting her. The movie is about to be released but it isn't perfect. But worst of all was the fact that she might have overdone the movie's shock. She was filming pornography for nearly a year prior to the film-project. And she was afraid that the movie is too sexual, too gruesome, too strange. She was afraid that it was too scandalous for people to like it.

Pearl Harbor 2001 made me cry for 3 hours straight

In my review of Bad Boys II I talked about how Michael Bay needed to discharge from Pearl Harbor and do a properly Bayhem! movie. This speculation of mine is largely based on some stories from the set of this movie, where it looked like Bay tried to actually make a properly directed film in the very beginning and then suddenly snapped and started setting up Bayhem! shots out of nowhere in the middle of production. And when people pointed that out to him he told them to "Shut the fuck up" and that he "knows what he is doing".

Gareth Edwards is a type of writer / director that I can relate to. I remember watching the Star Wars movie that he directed Rogue One back when it came out and feeling like I know what this guy is doing. Like I myself want to be that guy. Back in 2016 ( when Rogue One came out ) I still didn't quite give up the Wrong Hate project and what he showed was the stuff that I was aiming for.

At one point in time ( roughly before Tarantino ) Shane Black was the hottest writer in Hollywood. He wrote stuff like Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout, Last Action Hero ( the man is obsessed with Last anything ). And his Last film before he recovered from Tarantino induced depression and returned to the scene with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, was the 1996 movie he wrote for director of things like Cliffhanger Renny Harlin The Long Kiss Goodnight, starring Harlin's wife at a time Geena Davis.
