Blender DumbassA lot of people know James Cameron as the director that makes the best films. But a lot of those people don't realize that his films aren't actually the best. I would always consider Steven Spielberg a far better director. And people like Aaron Sorkin or Quentin Tarantino far better writers, than James Cameron. His movies are not even the hardest out there. Just take Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo, for example. But, that said, a lot of people still have this elevated idea of James Cameron. An idea that makes him a lot of money. So how does he do that?

Blender DumbassWhile James Cameron has denied that Avatar 3: Fire and Ash used any generative AI. On January 24, 2026 Joe Letteri ( the visual effect supervisor from Weta Digital ) sat with the Corridor Crew for their weekly show of VFX Artists React where he said that the facial animation for the hero characters for both Avatar 2 and 3 involved a neural network. A neural network? Isn't that a fancy way to say "AI"?

Blender DumbassIt is quite funny to me that we live in the world full with people that contradict themselves whenever possible. Politically Conservative people tend to always bring up "Free Speech" whenever Liberal-minded people disagree with their opinions. Yet they are also very much in the business of censorship themselves. We saw that with Florida's Book Bans and we now see it again with Pepper & Carrot. A comics from David Revoy that was attacked recently by those unable to see people expressing love to one another.

Blender DumbassMeta ( allegedly ) tried to hire 3D artists to justify in court that 3D art is apparently so easy and quick to make, that it is uncopyrightable, so they could not ask for permission from 3D artists for training their AI.

I'm scared that in not so distant of a future, even a video of typing an article will not be a sufficient proof. So lets talk about it... Shall we?
