After seeing a somewhat of a racing movie called American Graffiti starring Ron Howard, the next movie to watch was an obvious choice. A directed by Ron Howard 2013 racing film called Rush, which might feel like a predecessor of 2025's Joseph Kosinski film F1. But watching it I found this movie to be closer to Scorsese's The Wolf Of Wall Street rather than F1.
As you probably figured out, the movie is about racing. It is kind of similar to Ford v Ferrari where you have an underdog team trying to compete on a race with Ferrari to win the race. In this case though, Ferrari was not the fastest car on the track. The fastest one was from Red Bull. And not just from Red Bull. It was Lewis Hamilton who is an actual real F1 driver, who also played himself in the film and who was one of the producers on the film.
This is not your average racing film, it is simple, but not average, because it is pleasant to watch. And that is because it manages to control the tension very well.
I don't consider freedom binary, for me some things are inherently more free than others. Here I define freedom as the capacity to do a task unhindered. With such definition, it comes to be clear, what I mean by freedom not being binary and existing on an axis. For instance, repairing a standard PC is easier than the newest model of iPhone. This ease of repairability exists on a gradient, with the PC and iPhone being on different sides. The same applies to the actual binary, software world as well. It is easier to modify a program written in Python than the same one written in C. In Python there is no need to keep recompiling and seeing the changes, all alterations can be done on the fly.
Megan Fox. Megan Fox is the only flaw of Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The script by Ehren Kruger ( who wrote Top Gun: Maverick and F1 ) was written with Mikaela Banes ( Megan Fox ) as the girlfriend of Shia LaBeouf's character Sam. But because of some drama behind the scenes ( which involved Steven Spielberg for some reason ), she ultimately dropped out of the project, in very late stages of pre-production. Forcing the team to quickly patch her character out in a very forced and obvious way, replacing her with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who worked with Bay on Victoria Secret commercials. That ultimately made the film very confusing, emotionally.
Luc Besson's 1994 film Leon: The Professional is a feature with layered tension. As the assassin and the titular character Leon goes by his depressing life, there is a depressed 11 year old girl standing besides — Mathilda.
The desire to create never stops. Once the heart beats, it must be fed. The heart of art, desires art. My heart desires animation. My heart desires Lithuanian animation. Lithuanian cinema should Flow towards greathood. It all starts with making a bold choice.
Some movies are cheesy, some are creamy others are lactose intolerant. Vanamehe Film is just plain horny. Horny for that milk. It is no wonder milk is used as an euphemism for other type of a white liquid. That of course is the correction fluid of all the mistakes made! Was I misleading to talking about white paint? I tried it, it doesn't taste that good.
Reviewing a movie made by the author of the website, surely there are no conflicts of interest! This review is as honest as I can be without being petty. For the experience to be more enjoyable, reading the context would be beneficial.
The following text is a story I wrote, after listening to a DEFCON Conference talk about HALO 3C devices that are designed to catch smoking and vaping children in schools. The hackers Reynaldo and nyx got access to one such device, took it apart, looked into its hardware and software. And found out that at best it is poorly designed. And at worst it is a literal Mossad bug to listen to kids talk.
It seems like the movie Trachtenberg was going for here was way too risky and way too ambitious for a studio to green-light it normally. But if he can do that on a fraction of budget. As animation. And not a budget, something like Pixar uses for their ultra-realistic stuff and fluent motion. But on a fraction of that. He can use the trend of animating on-twos and making everything painterly, to cut all of the corners necessary to make this insane movie with the small amount of money that he is given.
So a real cinema movie project is being developed, and as explained in my previous article about it I don't have the money to shoot a real chase scene. Instead I gonna use CGI as much as possible, to cut down the costs ( but not my sanity ).
BTFree stands for Big Tech Free. Talking to @Ozoned we came up with a few ideas that might be interesting to pursue. For example the B could be drawn as a Bee. A nasty, kind of, insect character. Then if you add to it an English Top Hat and a cup of T. Well you get yourself an Oligarch. A nasty Oligarch. Representing the Big Tech ( BT ). But how do you want to get Free from it?
